Anurien's Tales...
DAY ONE: I have managed to blend in...no one suspects...
Yeah...ok...now let's work out how this is going to carry on. So far I have just wanted to blog about something. Could be anything but I recon that it would help if it is something that I know about and like.
So hobbies then.
I like reading, movies, computer games and the dreaded Games Workshop. Dreaded? I hear from the interested reader? Well....I have lots of little plastic men as my mum used to call them, and a fair few are unpainted as my wife continues to point out. At least with the movies I have watched them and the books get read. And, no doubt, I play entirely too much on the PC to be considered "productive". So bear with me as I find my feet in the world of the Blog-o-sphere and start up another new project.
And what is the project?
Well for the last several years I have been turning my life around. You see I was a university student in my fair city (not the only time I was a university student for those who know me) and I was struck with a mysterious illness. Eventually it turned out to be Fybromyalgia but while my symptoms got physically worse the Doctors were baffled and tested my for everything. Apparently this is a not uncommon way for this to happen. I ended up in physio several times where it was "Let's work on your fitness, flexibility and strength." Turns out...flexibility is the problem. I have always been flexible and i was actually putting so much strain on my joints that that is partly what caused the problem. Now the other unfortunate bit was that over the few years that my Fybromyalgia started, my symptoms had gotten worse and my weight went up as my fitness dropped. Eventually I was around 17 stone. And that made my symptoms worse.
A vicious circle.
So roll on several years later. I have dropped my weight to 12 and 1/2 stone. I have some fitness back and I am building strength muscle to protect my joints. Not "bodybuilding muscle" but strength and stamina.
And that leads to now. And this project. This is going to be my dumping ground and projects page. I will probably post things about my hobbies, stories of stuff happening in my life and general stuff about what is going on. And being a gamer known as Anurien...
